Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about OBEZ Capsules
Will OBEZ make me lose weight?
No, and we won't claim otherwise. OBEZ is designed for people already following a calorie restricted diet — the diet does the work, and OBEZ sits alongside it. Its authorised claims come from chromium: contributing to normal macronutrient metabolism and helping to maintain normal blood glucose levels.
What does "supports normal macronutrient metabolism" mean in plain terms?
Macronutrients are carbohydrates, fats and protein. Chromium plays a role in how the body processes them normally. It's a supporting nutritional role, not a mechanism for burning fat.
How much chromium is in it?
200µg per capsule, which is 500% of the Nutrient Reference Value. Chromium is the ingredient carrying both of OBEZ's authorised claims, which is why it's dosed generously.
What about the garcinia, green tea and L-carnitine?
They're part of the formulation, but health claims for these ingredients aren't authorised in the UK or EU, so we don't attach benefits to them. We'd rather list them honestly as ingredients than repeat claims the evidence doesn't support.
Does the green tea extract contain caffeine?
The green tea extract used is decaffeinated, so OBEZ shouldn't affect your sleep or leave you jittery the way a caffeinated fat-burner might.
Is it suitable for vegetarians or vegans?
No. The capsule shell is gelatin from a halal bovine source.
Can I take it with medication?
Chromium can affect blood glucose, so if you take insulin or any medication for diabetes, speak to your GP or pharmacist before starting — your levels may need monitoring. Don't take more than the stated dose in the hope of a faster result.
